Reat Kay – born as Reto Kummer – has started his career around the year 1998, at the age of 14. With his first gigs at the legendary “Club Utopia” in Basle, Switzerland in the year 2000 – he made his first important step into the swiss trance scene. After these first gigs he played at most of the swiss clubs with trance & hardtrance events until 2004 amongst many national & international headliners. After break for 5 years he returned to the decks and had his first release together with DJ NoFx (formerly know as DJ Denin and now known as Patrick Sanders) on Procon Records in 2011, climbing up to no. 55 in the Swiss Dance Charts (SDC). Together they released 4 tracks on Procon Records and Rich & Glourious, which have been compiled to several compilations.
In 2013 they bot decided the time for their own label has finally come. In July they teamed up with a friend they knew since their early days at the “Club Utopia” – Andy Krebs – and finally established TronTronic Enertainment. At the same time the two DJs thought it would be good to seperate their styles also through their name: The project Alec Tron was born – the name has been chosen to show their tight binding to their label project – further doing the more commercial music, like Progressive & Electro House, as Alec Tron – and playing their loved underground music – Tech House – as Reat Kay & Patrick Sanders. The releases Hazard & Dig Down turned out to be both a massive success even before the official release dates, finally bringing their production quality rating to an international level and resulting in several airplays and supports from all around the globe. With support from artists like Markus Schulz, Guiseppe Ottaviani, 4 Strings, DJ Dean, Michael de Kooker & Dave Emanuel for the debut single of their project Alec Tron – and over 60.000 Youtube playtime minutes before the official release, they could see the start of TronTronic Entertainment as a much bigger success as expected. “Dig Down” & “Hazard” – the first two releases on TronTronic Entertainment jumped right into several sales charts (AudioJelly) and have been on Top of several people voting charts. Dig Down climbed up to #3 on the Audiojelly genre charts and #75 on the general sales charts in the same week as Hazard entered the Dance-Charts.de on #68 – finally giving them the attention they deserve.
